Artist Dibyandu, at present, being an insightful night owl, seated on the edge of the huge Corinthian pillar of his ancestral home, visualizes the old yet sterling memories of his childhood, his roots surpass into an codified contraption. His memories now amalgamates into his present contemporary perspectives of being an engineer yet internally he longs to go back to the unimpeachable and comforting days he has spent in his village home. Thus what is born out of hustle between an immense longing to go back to the unadulterated days yet not deny the present pursuit to be a responsible software engineer is CIRCUITS OF EXPRESSION.

Recently, Dibyendu held his first solo exhibition at The Lalit, Kolkata in association with Art exhibitor Nostalgia Of Colors. The exhibition saw the presence of eminent personalities from the art fraternity, to name a few, Artist Abhijit Dutta, Curator and Gallerist, Ms. Aban Desai, Artist Aditya Basak, Narayan Sinha, also present was, Mr Kishore Samtani, Ms Mondira Verma and Ms. Renuka Rath among others. On having been able to put forward my curious self, I asked him "How do you perceive your present theme from a layman's way of thinking?" Dibyendu said, " I am the owl here, quietly sitting and being observant, I can see the vivid memories of my village days gradually devolve into the codified virtual images". He has his moments of sudden realization that the old, soulful days are now being overlapped by pixel-led versions. He wants his viewers to connect with the similar emancipated thought. He has playfully mixed technical circuits to the storytelling about his left behind memories.
My personal favorite out of the many was an illustration on canvas board portraying an almost real to the eyes "fish" who happened to get depleted into a computer keyboard. As I was too engrossed in visualizing that how palatable the fish looks, Dibyendu did pull my vision to the very minutely yet constructively detailed ''Power Button" on the bottom left of the canvas.
The hospitality partnered by and delivered to the guests present on that eve was, The Bakery by The Lalit Great Eastern, Kolkata. The evening saw the footfall of guests and art enthusiasts from all ages groups. The friends from media also covered the event with utmost zeal. I must mention here the sumptuous snacks adding to the hi tea was well served. Dibyendu seemed very enthusiastic to answer every query that the viewers would come across. He happened to be a patient host and an insightful artist at the same time. Wish him the very best on his well curated "Circuits of Expression" which surely keeps us glued in much hope towards his upcoming projects.
